Privacy policy

Last updated 25 October 2026. This policy describes iracalculator.net, published by IRA Calculator.

What you type into a calculator

Calculator inputs are processed in your browser to produce a result. The desk does not ask you to create an account, and the calculators do not require your name. Do not type account numbers, passwords, or government identification numbers into a field that asks for a loan balance or an income estimate.

Preferences

If you dismiss the cookie notice, the site stores that choice in local storage on your device so the notice does not return on every page. You can clear it in your browser.

Measurement and advertising

The site may use cookies or similar technologies to understand which pages are used and, when an advertising partner such as Google AdSense is enabled, to show ads. Advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings and through industry opt-out pages such as aboutads.info. The presence of this policy is not a statement that a particular ad campaign is running today.

Contact and currency feeds

If you email hello@iracalculator.net, we receive whatever you put in that email and use it to answer you. The currency calculator may request mid-market rates from a public exchange-rate feed. That request reveals your IP address to the feed’s operator the way any web request does.

Children

The site is written for adults making household and business calculations. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers iracalculator.net and the pages published under that host: the calculators, the blogs, the topic indexes, and the policy pages. It does not cover a bank, a lender, a brokerage, or a tax site you open from a result. When you leave this host, that site’s policy applies.

IRA Calculator does not ask you to open an account. There is no password, no profile, and no saved library of your balances. If a future version adds an account, this policy will be updated before that version collects anything new, and the date at the top of the page will change.

Cookies, local storage, and ads

A cookie is a small file a site asks the browser to keep. Local storage is a similar slot that stays on the device. The cookie notice on this site stores one choice, the key ira-cookie, so the notice can stay dismissed. That choice is not a profile of your finances.

If advertising is enabled, a partner such as Google AdSense may set its own cookies to measure an ad or to limit how often you see the same ad. Those cookies belong to the partner. Google’s Ads Settings and the industry page aboutads.info are the controls for personalized ads. This site does not sell a list of calculator inputs to advertisers, because the inputs are not sent to the desk in the first place.

You can block cookies in the browser. The calculators still run. The notice may return, and an ad partner may be less able to measure the page. Blocking cookies does not change the formula.

What we do not want you to type

Money fields ask for amounts such as a loan balance, a price, or a paycheck estimate. They do not ask for an account number, a Social Security number, a card number, or a password. Please do not put those into a field because the label looks similar. The browser computes the result, but a shared computer, a screenshot, or an email you later send to the desk could expose whatever you typed.

The contact form opens your own email program. The message is not stored in a database on this site. Whatever you choose to include in that email is then governed by your email provider and by the fact that a person at hello@iracalculator.net will read it in order to reply.

How long information stays

The calculator result lasts until you clear it, edit the form, or close the page. The cookie-notice choice lasts until you clear site data for iracalculator.net. Email you send us is kept long enough to answer and to fix a formula you reported. We do not build a marketing list from correction emails.

Server logs, if the host keeps them, can include an IP address, the page requested, and the time. Hosts use logs to operate and to investigate abuse. They are not a record of the numbers you typed into a mortgage form. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@iracalculator.net.

Advertising partners and your controls

Google AdSense, if it is turned on for this host, is an advertising service. Google’s own policy describes how ads are chosen and how long advertising cookies last. This page does not repeat Google’s entire policy. It tells you that the partner, not the calculator, would set those cookies, and that you can opt out of personalized ads without losing the formulas.

We do not pass a mortgage balance, a salary, or a retirement contribution to an ad system. Those values stay in the page while you calculate. Do not assume an ad you see is related to the number on the screen. It may be related only to the fact that you opened a finance site, or to nothing about you at all if personalized ads are off.

Children’s privacy is restated here because finance pages sometimes get assigned in class. The site is not for children under 13, we do not knowingly collect their personal information, and a parent who believes a child emailed us can write to hello@iracalculator.net and ask us to delete that email.

FAQs

Do calculators upload my balances?

No. The formula runs in your browser after you press Calculate. The desk does not receive the balance, the rate, or the income.

What does the cookie notice store?

A local choice that you dismissed the notice, under the key ira-cookie. It is not a record of a calculation.

Does a privacy policy mean ads are running?

No. The policy explains what happens if an advertising partner is enabled. It is not a statement that a campaign is live today.

Can I use the site without cookies?

Yes. The calculators do not require an account or a cookie. A dismissed notice may reappear, and ad measurement may not work.

Who do I email about privacy?

hello@iracalculator.net. Say which page you were on and what you want corrected or deleted from an email you sent earlier.
